"I have had lunch on the lovely terrace at Le Moustier three times now. Each time, the service was some of the best I've ever had in this area (the chef's wife brings out a carafe of water before you even ask, and then continuously replaces it before you ask, which almost NEVER happens in France in my experience!) The food is very good too. Twice I have had the lamb cooked with artichoke hearts, absolutely delicious, and once I had a steak which was perfectly cooked, but I wish I had known the chef was going to put a sauce on it, because I prefer my steak plain. The sauce was very tasty though, and the accompanying fries were perfection. The friends who have accompanied me each time to lunch raved about their dishes too, which were accompanied by au gratin potatoes that are addictive. A very good wine list rounds out the offering, although with flavourful, excellent desserts. Also worth honourable mention are the modern, clean toilets. The setting is the gorgeous Maconnais wine country, which is why I would especially recommend having lunch here before going on tastings or to appreciate the scenery."
In pleasant weather you can even eat in the outdoor area, And into the accessible spaces also come guests with wheelchairs or physiological limitations.

"Having eaten a dozen or more restaurants in Burgundy I would put this as amount the best in terms of quality of food. We enjoyed both the appetizers and the main courses. We both thought the Bresse Chicken with morels was better than the same dish at George Blanc's 3 star restaurant. Reasonable priced wine list."

"I 'm shocked at the reviews I 've seen. They seem totally out of character with our experience at this delightful restaurant today. So, let me give an alternative view. First, the new ambiance (and we know this place from the previous owners) is simply beautiful. The owners have done a terrific job making it really cool and tasteful. The surroundings were really very lovely. And the food was EXCELLENT. I had escargots and Parmentier de veau and both were soul satisfying. The service was superb. Clearly this chef is very creative and takes great care with his creations. I cannot imagine how anybody would find the food here other than outstanding. In short, a really pleasant lunch ... Thank you! We 'll come again and again."
