"If you want to run a restaurant with the level of ambition and prices as Melsted you need to deliver. The location by the sea and the light-coloured interior is nice. The drinks list is surprisingly short. The food menu is varying from day to day. When we ate the menu was very cross-over including burrata, sashimi, brandade, lobster and pasta with mushrooms. Some of the courses were great like burrata and brandade. The lobster was cold (cooked ealier) and a bit overcooked which typically happens if you boil tail and claws together. The pasta with mushroom was too salty to finish. The waiters were very relaxed. A bit too relaxed. With a full-seated dining hall they seemed to have lost the overview. The consequently forgot about us and we repeatedly had to ask to be served. The wine list was interesting but also quite short. They did not tell us that the Champagne they recommended for us was a natural wine. If we do the guest do not order it they explained. I would, but I like to know. The quality of the food and service did not match the ambitions expressed by the hotel nor the prices."
