"Au premier abord, on dirait le lieu de vacances de l'inspecteur Derrick. Mais l'on oublie très vite le côté un peu sobre : chambres très propres, spacieuses, salles de bain idem. Le petit-déjeûner dans une "stub" au décor inattendu est copieux et les produits, typiques. Pas de fioritures à la mode du genre mocchaccino, mais il savent vraiment faire un très bon café à l'allemande - ce qui, pour des inconditionnels de l'espresso (le vrai, pas l'ersatz en dosettes) est très agréable - changement d'herbage réjouit les veaux :)"

"Café Schubert is known for its excellent cake in the region. In addition, there is a lunch table that likes to use the numerous seniors of the place. This has, of course, implications for the selection of the dishes offered so that we have not been interested in it for a long time. Recently we heard that a new lady of the house has been swinging in the kitchen for some time, one from Thailand. For us a happy message, as we are very happy with the Asian kitchens in (almost all of them). So we're back. Inside it still looked like before, better said how much earlier. (But after what was said at the outset, the pressure is not particularly great to leave behind the atmosphere of the economic miracle years. The choice between spaghetti Bolognese and the Thai vegetable pan with chicken was, of course, not difficult for us, but we made big eyes when the latter stood on the table. Even before the first bite it was to be seen that the cook radically captured its culinary roots. Thai cuisine for Farangs It tasted as it looked beautiful and harmless but without Thai input about herbs, spices, sauces or sharp curry pastes. The good, sticky jasmine rice alone could convey a little Asian flair. Firstly, it is too good to understand that demand is adjusted. With Kaffir-Limette, coriander and sharp pastes you cannot come to most guests, but Thai basil, ginger or Galgant could actually go. Otherwise you should give the court another name. Pizza doesn't go without cheese and tomatoes. It would be even better if you were a little braver in the kitchen, because Asia is still a very white spot on the gastronomic map of Bad Herrenalbs. And whoever does not like it, the retreat to Spaghetti Bolognese remains open. When we go out, of course, we're still past the cake counter. The fact that the cakes continue to search in the Greater Karlsruhe area has reconciled us with the common fertility. For them there are five stars, for lunch three, on average makes four."
