"Excellent breakfast in beautiful location with beautiful view. it doesn't matter to pay for quality. hubby enjoyed a posh full English mine was a posh touch on toast, both tasted super. I'm looking forward to the next visit."

"This Chip shop is award winning. The award for the ‘Worst Fish and Chip Supper Ever Tasted’ The fish was over cooked to the point where it was like beef drained of any moisture. The chips were cold greasy and over cooked. Tha prices were exorbitant even for good food which this was certainly not. Apart from the dreadful food the lasting memory is the layer of grease lining my mouth. If the choice eating here or go hungry. Choose hunger your pocket and heart will be less abused."

"It’s not often we eat out at Sunday lunch; nothing ever stands up to a home cooked roast unless you want take out a mortgage to pay for the tiniest of tiny modern deconstruction of your family favourite! But oh my, what a find. What a real delight to come to the newly refurbished, attractive, friendly and comfortable George Dragon. I had a delightful Beetroot fennel cured salmon with a subtle, not overpowering mustard and dill sauce. Actually, the salmon is cured in Sambuca but Ralph was concerned no one would choose it he’s wrong on that: I would! The others all liked their starters. I can’t remember what they had I wasn’t bothered as I was not sharing mine! Everyone except me choose the roast sirloin of beef. It looked wonderful; beautifully pink and the roast potatoes (done in duck fat looked perfect. But I chose the best the most fantastic, tender, wonderfully seasoned roast loin of hare (shot I’m told in the field behind the pub, so minimal food miles here! with a shiny, rich sloe gin jus .... and I got the roast potatoes (and other vegetables too. My only regret is that I couldn’t try the wine as I had to rush off and take my daughter to her play rehearsal. But I am most certainly coming back. It is great to find a new but traditional restaurant and pub, run by a young, enthusiastic and professional landlord with a superb chef and friendly staff. The local of Seaton are very lucky but, sorry guys, you are going to have to share!"

"Decided to return after reminiscing about a trip exactly 10 years ago and delighted to find it just as good. Lovely room , lovely pub , lovely staff and lovely food. Cant beat an open pub fire. When booking always tick the dinner and breakfast package, fantastic value for money."
