"Warm and friendly customer service with a wide range of options for food!Upon seating the waitress asked if I 'd like water or tea. I had requested warm water but unfortunately they could not accommodate that. I ordered the regular chicken ramen but I was told the 'regular ' is still spicy, even tho they also had a 'spicy chicken ramen option ', so just be aware that there is no non-spicy ramen option. The chicken tasted amazing, but the broth was rather underwhelming. There were bits of cabbage, carrot and green onion I believe. The noodles looked like instant Ramen noodles, but the price fits the content at 11.50$Overall it was satisfying and the atmosphere is calm with beautiful cafe music playing in the background"

"So there we were 7:30 Friday night, really in the mood for Japanese food, (knowing this was late for Maple Ridge)I checked FB looking for some hidden gem, again knowing this was late for our fun city, read good things about Sushi Umibe, decided to give it a try, boy were we glad we did!Chicken teriyaki was amazing- crispy pieces of chicken with the perfect amount of sauce, not over loaded and drowning in it.The 2 rolls we tried were new to us but again did not disappoint:Umibe Roll said it was spicy but it wasn't too much, just the right amount of heat in the spicy mayoProsciutto Roll- perfect balance of salty and sweet with mango sauce topped with a caper on each piece.The service was amazing! As soon as we walked in the door, we had a warm welcome from I'm guessing the owner. The young lady serving us was constantly on the ready, always keeping an eye on our tea level, which, by the way, has a nice nutty flavour.The food was fast, fresh, hot and oh so tasty! This will be our new go to."

"FRESH QUALITY SUSHI ARTFULLY PRESENTED. This is the best sushi my husband and I have eaten in a very long time. We had to thank the Chef before we left it was that good. <br/ <br/ We are new to the area. We have eaten at pretty much every Sushi place in the area. We think we find a good spot and we return only to be completely disappointed. It was my birthday and I was determined to try one more Sushi place, I had driven by it a few times. <br/ <br/ First impressions were that the restaurant itself was very clean and the decor modern, much nicer than we expected and certainly nicer than others in the area. The Service was fast and the servers friendly and polite. What impressed us the most was the presentation of the food, it was beautifully plated and the quality and freshness of the fish matched the plating. The tempura was crisp and the prawn, literally melted in my mouth. The tuna and salmon sashimi were served ice cold. We had the Tuna Tataki as well and were pleased to find that it was just how we love it. In addition we had a roll combo that we enjoyed as well. A little cold sake and some tea....We can't wait to go back and try more menu items. <br/ <br/ To me sushi is delicate and beautiful and when presented artfully it shows great respect for the ingredients. it also elevates the pleasure of eating it even more. This is now our favorite japanese restaurant. On the way out when our server found out it was my birthday she said, wait, I have a gift for you and she presented me with a pretty japanese Strawberry pop, apparently the top explodes when you open it. "Honestly just the best sushi out there. I haven’t had sushi this fresh in ages and I have fallen in love with the volcano roll, I get it every time I come here!! I am from Toronto and this is a must go to restaurant for me every time I visit the Vancouver area. The staff is attentive and wonderful and all the food is fresh and so delicious.Vegetarian options: Wide variety of vegetarian options!!Kid-friendliness: I have seen the staff give suckers to every kid that has entered the restaurant, takeout or dine in. They also have kid friendly options of course!"

Love the Meadow Roll! The only thing I wish they had was Oyster Motoyaki. Definitely worth the try : Photo is the Philadelphia Roll! Yummy"

"I would say that the bento box menu items here are the best value I’ve had at any sushi restaurant. I like the sashimi bento, which comes with: Salad, 4 pieces of Sashimi, 2 pieces of Spring Rolls, Teriyaki, and assorted Tempura. The portions are bigger than most places for bento, you can expect to be full and have some leftovers. Also loved the crispy crunch roll. They serve high quality food and it tastes delicious. I will be coming her more often that’s for sure! Highly recommend."
