"Disappointing pushed here by the lack of dinner in the IBIS the reception was cold, almost 'what are you doing disturbing our peace '. No customers when I arrived and only one other whilst I was there. The food was there... Nothing special, the pizza was thin and cardboard like and 'piquante ' was not close to being spicy. Edible but lacking. Attentiveness of the staff is not great... I had to stand up and put my coat on to get the bill. My verdict: better to drive into town."

"Restaurant dans un cadre superbe bien qu'un peu bruyant (autoroute à proximité), lorsqu'on arrive une pancarte nous demande de rester sur place, le personnel arrive... on attend... enfin on nous place sur la terrasse et nous recevons les cartes. Nous demandons une carafe d'eau : le verre d'eau du robinet est proposée à fr. 2.50 le verre ! La bouteille d'eau à fr. 12.00 ! En insistant on nous donne par oral le plat du jour : alors qu'il était annoncé àfr. 19.00 il nous est facturé fr. 23.00 car nous sommes au restaurant : une nappe au toucher désagréable, un set en papier bon marché blanc... et serviette également en papier ! pour avoir le tarif brasserie, nous aurions dû être à la table voisine : sans nappe, avec un set en plastic et la même serviette ! Bref un endroit à éviter, même si la nourriture était correcte. La direction esttout simplement horrible ! "This is one of our most 'tried and tested' regularly frequented restaurants in Neuchâtel and in my view offers one if the best value menus, in an informal setting with its fabulous lakeside situation and view of the lake and Neuchatel. I was most recently there with work colleagues and friends for a relaxed informal meal on a warm balmy summer's evening; four of us had pizzas and one had the hamburger and as always the thin crust pizzas were tasty and excellent. We're back again as a family in a few weeks for an annual tradition of going with friends to La Buvette on the last Sunday evening of the school holiday and before the kids start another school year!"

"After a long pleasant summer stroll along the river Thielle we wanted to refresh ourselves with some sorbet ice-cream. On arrival we sat on a nice table with a lovely view to the river Thielle and waited for 20 minutes for a waitress to arrive. On the entire terrace only 3 other tables where occupied and 3 waiters were standing around and none of them bothered to bring the dessert menu. After 20 minutes we asked if their new concept was self service and then we received the one page dessert menu with horrendous price tags for simple ice cream dishes. As it took us only a couple of minutes to diced which ice cream to choose from, a group of 4 gentlemen arrived at another table an the waitress again did not bother to take our order but instantly attended the table of the four gentlemen. This is why we chose to ignore this restaurant and left. We will only set foot in this restaurant again, once the owner will have changed again. Since the service is that terrible and the price tags exorbitant, it will not take long to loose customers at a speedy rate and to fold down once again this business. Really sad, as the restaurant is set in a nice place with a nice view."
