"Recently I went to the Mexican restaurant Abuelo and decided to go to League City, Texas. I went from Galveston to Hobby Airport and stopped for lunch. It was intentional because someone suggested it. I'm traveling a little bit for pleasure, and it's going to eat. I'm on the picky side, though. When I arrived at lunchtime, I was greeted at the door and placed in less than five minutes. The server was on my table immediately with chips, a variety of salsas, water and a menu. The menu was quite extensive, but I chose a lunch size option as I had a flight on board. I ordered beef enchiladas. It came with a side of fried beans and rice, all covered with the appropriate amount of Chile con Carne sauce and only the correct amount of cheese. I make a point because you could actually taste the beef and its spices. They could actually taste the fried beans and rice that were all very good. I liked the decor of the restaurant that also has a beautiful bar. The restaurant was well lit and clean, including the toilet. My server was friendly, efficient and attentive. She made sure I didn't want or needed anything else without being overlaid. I thought things were also cheap. I'd just go back to Abuelo's and if I'm in the Houston/Galveston area, I'll go back to the League City Abuelo's. I'm always fair when I calculate places and I'm NOT doing many five-star reviews, they have to be earned. The complex deserves 4 1/2 stars, the food 4 stars and the waiter deserves 5 stars. Overall, I give this Abuelo 4 1/2 stars."

"Great place to eat. My favorite is the salsa. Me and my family buy the salsa for when we throw parties. I even use it in my scrambled eggs. The only problem is parking. It feels really congested when it's packed."
