"My wife, son his family and I were interested in Suchi and this restaurant was across the street from the hotel. We were all seated at the same table with no problems but waiting to get service when it was not busy was pretty bad. We ordered drinks but when they came they were not close to what we wanted but brought the right ones. When our food came out it was not very good for taste or looks but when everyone is hungry you have no choice to eat it especially when you have two young children. We would not recommend eating here to anyone. Pass it!!!"

"Food was OK, good average (definitly not more) and the setting is great, directly on the Rhine. But that's about it, as far as positive points go. The outside sitting area is not particularly nice. It looks as if they wanted to do something minimalstic/fancy, but didn't have the money. When we arrived at 20.15 we sat for 20 min before someone came. The lady was nice but her behaviour was strange: she actually told us they do "star cooking", which is somehow embarrassing, especially if the food and the setting do not live up to any such expectations. They also have a sign near the restrooms that in the evening they serve "gehobene Küche". All in all a really strange ambiente. If you want to be good, just be it but don't boast about it. At 21.30, in the middle of the dessert, the lady disappeared and left us sitting there with no drinks, no coffee. She reappered after 20 min, while her colleague had in the meantime closed all the umbrellas and taken away the chairs. So we were left sitting in the dark with our empty plates. Maybe they just had a bad day. But if this is what you get, then I cannot recommend this to anyone."
If you crave for desserts, Lokami with its magical desserts can easily make an end of it, The customers of the establishment also appreciate the extensive variety of differing coffee and tea specialities that the restaurant has to offer. The fine Sushi such as Maki and Sashimi however, is the undisputed highlight of this place.

"They are very friendly BUT we had to wait sooo long to get the food...we didn't even have drinks while waiting so that should be improvedThe food was very good and prices were very acceptable, considering the near position to Basel and the higher prices there.We will come back and expect that they have either more waiters or less people to serve as it is always packed, which seems to mean that it is a good place to eat.Also if you take away, you get a 10% discount"

"Déçu les 2 premières fois que nous y sommes allés car il n'y avait plus de cochon de lait. La 3ème était la bonne, le cochon de lait est bon mais à par ça le reste n'est pas exceptionnel. Ce n'est pas mauvais, mais pour le prix je trouve un peu décevant."

"After searching for good affordable Chinese food since moving to Basel 3 weeks ago, we finally found it here. We went there for the first time last week and the large restaurant with outdoor terrace is located by the river with playground close by. It was quite crowded. The variety of food on their buffet was satisfying all you can eat from shrimp, beef, chicken, duck, noodle, rice, salad, sushi, different veggie, curry, soup, fruits, ice cream, and gummy bears. Cost 18 chf for adult dinner and 7 or 10 chf for my 7 year old son. You can also opt to order from the menu which half of the patrons were doing and I see the price for an entree is 10 chf cheaper than Basel. The service was a bit slow due to the crowd and my 25cl water tasted a bit weird too."
