"This restaurant is a non descript halt at the terminus of the Uetliberg railway line up the mountain in Zurich. There is a limited view as the forest trees obscure the countryside beyond.If you are a railway nerd you will love dining al fresco as a spotlessly clean train pulls in and then departs every 20 minutes - only metres from where you sit, just along the platform.The fondue is super tasty - probably the best I had in Zurich, rich, savoury and sticky. Service is okay, but it's the fondue that makes this a memorable meal. If they could improve the view this would be 5 stars !"

"I visited Eyhof because I was hoping for a quick afternoon tea and reading the provided Newspapers and Magazinesin Café Monti close by but closed for Modernisation, Eyhof does not provide Newspapers nevertheless I sat down after waiting for service for several munutes while an idle waiter was not reacting I left. Eyhof had to move from it’s previous location in the neighbourhood, then it was a fine place with good service and fine food, today’s visit was utter disappointment."

"Mein Kollege, der schon öfters hier war meinte nur: die Karte war auch schon grösser und die Preise tiefer. Wer hier gediegene Küche erwartet wird zutiefst enttäuscht. Immerhin sind die Preise - für Zürcher Verhältnisse - noch human.Wienerli mit Kartoffelsalat, Gebratener Fleischkäse mit Pommes Frites, Wurst-Käsesalat alles um die 20.-, Schnippo (vom Huhn), Entrecôte und Pommer Frites bildet das preisliche Ende mit 36.- Serviert wurde ein hervorragender Fleischkäse und knackige Pommes Frites. Das Ketchup wir in Schälchen serviert und war für mich viel zu wenig. Selbst mit der Portion des Kollegen fehlt mir noch etwas. Gut... ich hätte nachfragen sollen. Absoluter Tiefpunkt war aber das Entrecôte. Nicht der Garpunkt (Medium) war daneben sondern die Marinade. Es handelt sich - zumindest geschmacklich - um ein von diesen Kaufhausmarinaden, orange völlig überwürzt und geschmacklich dominant. Zudem war die Konsistenz des Fleisches derart eigenartig, dass ich - mangels anderer Indizien - zuerst drauf tippte, dass es sich um Schweinefleisch handeln musste. Sehnen und etwas Fett am Stück Fleisch deuteten aber dann doch auf Rind hin. Geschmacklich - zumindest für meinen Gaumen - eine Beleidigung.Der Dessert ein Coupe Dänemark (10.-) war für mein Geschmack etwas zu klein: 2 Kugeln Vanilleglacée aber zumindest - hier hätte ich auch die Schoggisauce kalt erwartet - war die Sauce im kleinen Chrüegli warm.Die Bedienung war freundlich und konnte auf alle Rückfragen Auskunft geben.Vielleicht tue ich dem Restaurant unrecht: wenn ich zu McDonalds gehe, erwarte ich auch kein Gemüse zum Burger oder eine übergrossen Shake. Für mich ist es halt einfach so, das wenn ich in ein Restaurant gehe, ich etwas mehr auf dem Teller sehen möchte als ein völlig zugekleistertes Entrecôte, eine Portion Pommes Frites und eine Minitomate. Das holt auch die darin gesteckte Schweizer Fahne nicht mehr raus.Für WM-Interessierte ist die ganze Beiz mit Fahnen geschmückt und ein Flatscreen im Aussenbereich aufgestellt.Eine grosse Aussenterrasse ist sicherlich auch für Familien interessant.Alles in allem kulinarisch keine Meisterleistung, aber faire Preise und für die Familie sicherlich geeignet."

"Nous avons organisé notre repas de noce samedi dernier au restaurant ECCO de l’hôtel Atlantis. Quel merveilleux souvenir nous garderons de cette soirée. Tout n’était que luxe et sophistication. Nous avons choisi un menu à cinq plats. Chaque assiette était une découverte gustative et un régal pour les yeux. Probablement un des meilleurs repas que nous ayons eu l’occasion de déguster. Simplement Inoubliable. Comme certains de nos invités ne mangeaient pas de poisson ni de volaille, le chef leur a préparé quelques plats spéciaux de remplacement à base de légumes, tout aussi délicieux. De nombreux hors-d’œuvres très délicats nous ont également été également servis au début et à la fin du repas. Le personnel s’est montré avenant et discret tout au long de la soirée. Enfin, la salle du restaurant est très agréable, les tables sont bien espacés et l’on s’entend parler, ce qui est de plus en plus rare de nos jours. Bref, même en réfléchissant bien, je ne vois aucun point négatif à cette soirée mémorable, que nous n’oublierons jamais. Nous invités ont quitté la table des étoiles dans les yeux."
