"Bad time at rheingold. Arrived at 6 meal cost $40 and drink deal all you can drink for $30 THAT I think is the problem . not told meal pig on spit not served till 8.00 served 3 kinds of soup sauerkraut , potato and vegetable at about 6:30 when it was our table turn to line up for mains there was a choice of pig, beef and chicken accompanied by sauerkraut, pasta salad and boiled vegetables . NOT really impressed. Ambience was tacky and way too cramped and music that loud you could not hold a conversation. the was filled with younger people enjoying the all you can drink for $30. members of our party were subject to being hit by beer sodden napkins being thrown around and we had a camera...read more"

"We visited the rheingold as part of a group for pre Christmas celebrations. We had such a fun night, German beer was flowing and the buffet, whilst not fabulous, was really tasty, we just loved the crackling pork. It was a quiet night when we...visited, so I can only imagine what it is like on a busy night. It could do with a bit of a renovation, but it feels slightly German, and the more beer you drink, the less you care about the decor anyway. It's a fun night for a group and I'd consider returning if I had a group celebration coming up."

"Horrible! We went there for dinner on the weekend, we should have known when we walked in and there was noone there that it was going to be bad!<br>

They had the front door wide open............................ ITS WINTER & ITS FREEZING! Why would you have the door open?! The restaurant was freezing. So we skipped dessert so we could get out of there!<br>

I ordered the 'home made' chicken kiev because there was literally noting else on the horrible menu that looked half enticing. Lets just say that there was nothing home made about it. It was like a chicken kiev that comes out of a box from Safeway! If came with mashed potato. The kiev came with the smallest serving of lumpy mash Id ever seen! I left hungry and cold! I would have ordered dessert as there were some yummy looking cakes at the counter... but it was far too cold to hang around!<br>

It was an expensive - not so good meal! I wont be back!"
