"Good food, good service and atmosphere. Food was excellent, definitely the additional costs for other restaurants in the area. The waitress was attentive and aspiring without being over the top. The views were beautiful, but what the night was done was the warm welcome of Jimmy, who was friendly and charming. In any case, it would recommend if you are in the area."

"Speaking for locals, The Shack is a cornerstone of our summer munchies. I always get a chicken burger, my brother gets hotdogs and my boyfriend loves the lamb donairs. We eat here pretty regularly and the owner, Angie, is always a joy to see. Last week we ordered food to take back to our house as we were nursing a hangover. My boyfriend's donair had the wrong sauce, which never happens, so he called to let them know. She apologized and brought a new one to our house! We don't live that far away, but still...that's how awesome this place is!"

"Hit the Hut. Stopped in Nakusp for lunch and couldn 't pass on The Hut...road food on a road trip!<br/ <br/ I had the bacon and cheese burger, my wife the fried chicken. We shared a chocolate shake.<br/ <br/ The burger was okay...pre-made patty a bit of a let down. The fried chicken was excellent, crispy coating with good crunch and a light seasoning; and not greasy. Highly recommend going for the chicken!<br/ <br/ The chocolate shake was excellent, too. Thick 'n ' chocolatey.<br/ <br/ The Hut has plenty of picnic tables and shade trees, overall a fine stop!"

"Rooms: Had a cute room with a stunning view of the lake. Room was clean, bright with mini fridge, coffee machine and microwave. Bathroom was clean and stocked with towels, soap, blow dryer. Food drinks: Food from restaurant was delicious, you can have your meal in restaurant or pub. Drinks were reasonably priced and service was great for a busy little pub!!"

"We were a group of 7 women, an 11 year old and a 6mo old baby. five of us ordered the salmon, but asked if we could replace the wild rice for kartoffels, and we said that the cook refused, so we paid $5...more for a side of kartoffels. the kartoffels were not tasteful and lacked salt. if they pay such high prices for a meal, it should be perfect, especially if the chef cannot replace kartoffels for rice, because it does not please his palate. one of the ladies ordered mushrooms and was told that they don't have left. there were only a few more in the restaurant next to us. the mother and the baby had to go before the baby was cried) so we ordered a laundry board $30.00) and asked if they had to bite it to someone as they had to go. what a disappointment. see the photo. would not recommend this restaurant. the service was good, but the cook, not so much."
