"Whilst waiting for me to cycle up St. Gothard's Pass, my wife happened to find the Tremola restaurant and we had lunch there. It's an absolutely amazing place - they have basically converted a ww2 bunker into a hotel and very nice restaurant. Felix the chef was incredibly accommodating and we had a long chat with the owner too. If you want to go somewhere with good food and in a completely different venue, then I'd thoroughly recommend it. As a hint, if you eat there (and ask very nicely), you might get a guided tour which is absolutely fascinating. A lot of the original equipment is still there (but hidden away in back rooms) and it's amazing to see how it all used to work. A little gem we are very glad we happened upon."

"Not often you find exactly what you are looking for. Bed and Bike Tremola is a rare find. We planned an overnight in the vicinity of Airolo to attempt a ride over San Gottardo on our way to Italy. Our only regret is we stayed only one night. Luca, Tania and Ruun are exceptional hosts. And the fully equipped bike workshop came in handy the next morning! I think the review below from John G in 2019 sums up what Luca and staff are doing much better than I can so I copy it below... A privilege When we ate a fixed price, multi-course lunch earlier this month at Osteria Tremola we felt as if each course came from the heart. "Had lunch with family and food was great and generous, service a little cold but still good. Instead of sitting in the car in front of the Gotthard tunnel to wait to cross to Goeschenenm go and get a great pizza, it is worth!!!!"
