"Over the years we have driven past this place and have been impressed by the number of people queuing up. Olympia had also been recommended by a friend a few years back. This week we decided to stop off and give it a try. We ordered the standard battered fish of the day with chips. The fish was supposed to be cod. The fish was as dry as a Ritz cracker! Also, the fish didn't seem like any cod I have ever had. I don't know if this was because it was so badly cooked, or if it wasn't actually cod. Even the chips were somehow anaemic, very dry and bland tasting. Our attempts to make the fish and chips more palatable by slathering in salt and vinegar couldn't rescue the food. None of us could finish off the meal as it was like eating cardboard. One thing I noticed was that there weren't many people queuing up this time; very different from what we have seen in the past. We wondered if this place is under new management? If the service wasn't friendly, I would probably give it one star."

"This is the first time we've been to this shop. We found Dave very friendly and accommodating. He gave us free samples of his homemade sauces, calamari and chocolate ganash. We ordered chips and potato scallops and they were outstanding. We will definitely be coming back. Can't wait to try a burger.Thanks Dave!"

"Four friends enjoyed a great meal at Sul Verde on Saturday night, and what a hidden gem in Pennant Hills Bowling Club! Food was just beautiful, our steaks were melt in the mouth, and my husband ordered seafood which great too. A good wine list, and entrees of bruschetta and pizza very good too. Thoroughly recommend this Italian restaurant in the suburbs."
