"Wir sind auf der Pitschenberghütte eingekehrt, um uns vor dem Anstieg auf den Pitschenberg etwas zu stärken. Nach der ersten Erfrischung meldet sich ein Hungergefühl, und wir bestellten nichtsahnend einige kleine Gerichte. Die Kaspreßknödelsuppe war eine der besten, die ich jemals gegessen habe, und vom Apfelstrudel schwärme ich heute noch. Alles selbstgemacht von der Sennerin und ihrer Mutter, die die Hütte seit 1980 selbst bewirtschaften. Die Hütte ist seit 1700 im Familienbesitz.Dass die Dinge hier gut schmecken, liegt vor allem an der liebevollen Zubereitung und dem eigenen Anbau vieler Rohstoffe (Gemüse, Kräuter) und natürlich der Milch von den eigenen Almkühen. Die Hütte hat keine Stromversorgung, es wird am Holzofen gekocht. Urig und gut!"
