"Great local Polish Ukrainian bakery with a deli counter and imported foods. Many sausages, kielbasa, cutlets and lunch service. Nice sweet baked goods, rye bread, challah and other breads. Savory items such a as meat on a stick their own and other perogies, cabbage rolls and more."

"Authentic Greek cuisine featured on 'You Gotta Eat Here '. We were greeted by friendly smiling staff who sat us promptly. Ordered the Tzatziki starter. Home made, fresh dip with garlic bread. Fresh cucumber with just the right amount of garlic however I wish they had strained the cucumber a little more as the dip was a tiny bit too watery. With that said, the freshness made up for it. We ordered the Gyro plate and the shrimp plate as our mains. Both plates came with a healthy portion of meat, potatoes, rice, pita, and an orange wedge with a small container of Tzatziki. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The gyro was a bit dry and too salty for my liking but was still enjoyable. To be honest, I think I got the outer crust of a new batch. Potatoes were excellent. Rice was fantastic. Pita should have been served on the side but was buried between the meat and rice. The orange wedge didn 't quite understand that. Geometrically, the presentation was a little lopsided but who cares. It tasted good enough. The restaurant was clean, busy and authentic. The staff were super friendly and responsive. The service was excellent in my opinion. Would definitely repeat if we were in the area."

"Got a $60 parking ticket parking in the spot out front and was only in the store for 5minutes to grab dumplings. There should be a no parking sign. The parking “police” watch this place. A woman from a neighbouring business came out while I argued with the parking meter woman and stated that she watches multiple people ticketed weekly.My vehicles one back tire was touching the sidewalk as it’s a pie shaped spot. I was a smaller vehicle. So no one will fit here. I tried fighting this ticket in town hall and they said no my tire was on the sidewalk. Save your money. Shop elsewhere or hike in.I’ve never spent so much on dumplings in my life. Extremely disappointing in the signage and warnings to inform customers of their impending doom."

"Helen's Deli has been in the downtown area for as long as I have been living here in St. Catharines. I was here for a business lunch, and while it's not really very private, it has big clientele of business people who work in the...downtown core due to its proximity, it's quick friendly service and it's reasonable prices. You can get a soup and a smoked meat sandwich with a drink cheap and in short order. The staff is super friendly. You order at the counter, pick up your food and pay at the front. It hums along like a well oiled machine, to everyone's delight"
