"Obviously a popular place, we received a warm welcome in the pheasant where we had reserved a table for Sunday dinner. service was explained by friendly staff who specials in the offer. I ordered the lamb shoulders that had been recommended, and my wife ordered the 'small part' filet steak. our food was perfectly cooked and very pleasant. we decided to dessert and ordered the fruit crumbs and custard that was excellent. we would recommend the pheasant for a great "pub food" experience."

"We went on our tour yesterday evening through pubs in south furness half island and had a really good night. a simple menu nicely executed. we had washed the burger, scampi and a serious big fish and chips with a series of real ale, we had lancaster blonde and timothy taylor renter. great service and cozy table at the fire, perfect."
