"This restaurant was voted for our family benefit during a two-week holiday in Germany when we ate every day. The food was good; well cooked and beautifully presented, the service was excellent. I easily mark it in the atmosphere as we visited on a Sunday when all shops are closed and the restaurant, like the city itself, was quite quiet. The menu is not particularly adventurous, but it made a pleasant change from the very meaty menus of many places in Germany."

"We explored the Erpeler-ley, a rock 191m above the Rhine Valley. the small village at the foot of the archer ley was known by the 335m long railway bridge, which was at the end of the second world war the only undisturbed bridge over the Rhine and was taken by American troops. the cross on the 8,63 ha large plateau should remember. ie bridge was never built. the bridge towers have remained on both sides of the Rhine. After we got so much historical knowledge and saw that we got hungry. So we put in the cozy place to eat in the middle of the village, our tables and had already ordered in advance so that we had no long waiting times before the place. it is a very cozy little rustic restaurant at the marketplace in the historic center of Erpel. the menu offers traditional and regional delicacies as well as new modern interpretation of the old. the services were very friendly and the food had tasted everything. the market was given a gip in 1887. the redesign of the market was the conclusion of the extensive plant work at the whole site, on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the newly designed marketplace, a tree planted that still stands today. parking is located behind the block of houses on the parking lot there and near the train station on the road."

"We arrived for a late afternoon lunch (3:00 p.m. on a sunny day. The location was great, the terrace on the river with a nice breeze. The menu cards on the table were all for their ice cream sundaes so were not sure whether lunch was available. The wait staff was very obliging and we were able to order a meal. While we were waiting we saw the ice cream that those around us were being served and I must say that the sundaes looked incredible. Alas, the lunch was filling and we didn't have room to sample the ice. The lunch was quite good. I opted for a pizza fresh ingredients, not too much sauce, crispy (without being tough crust, just right for the day. My husband had the spaghetti carbonara and approved it enough that the couple we were with both noted that they hadn't him eat that much for lunch for a very long time. Our friends each had a salad. She opted for the grilled chicken, a fresh salad with a large serving of grilled chicken while he opted for the fish and prawn salad. Both were sizable portions with more protein that one would usually find in a salad. We agreed that it was a nice little find with a great location, expansive menu, good prices and fresh, tasty food."
