"We booked yesterday to come here tonight knowing that quite a few restaurants in France do not open for dinner on Sundays. Then I read the TA reviews and to be honest I almost cancelled on the strength of them. Having just spent an enjoyable evening at the restaurant I 'm very glad we decided to be led by our own instincts on this occasion. It 's an old style 'Mom Pop ' Restaurant which used go be the backbone of everyday Restaurants in France. Mum has total control of the kitchen, Dad handles front of house and their daughter provides charming and efficient service. Between them they had total control of an almost full restaurant with no dissatisfied customers, no dramas and no mistakes. We enjoyed it all, for the first time in years we went through a very tasty 3 course menu for €18.50. Washed down with a kir aperatif, a good bottle of muscadet, cafe noir and excellent calvados rounded off a very enjoyable evening. If we had a criticism it wouldn 't be about the food or service, it would be to work on the ambiance. A couple of dimmer switches and a candle or two would transform the place for evening service."

"To start a greeting would be almost too much, a high quality, a very bitter and tasteless coffee. We then asked for access to the toilets that are not reported, and the impression that they are disturbed. I absolutely don't recommend it."

"We have eaten in the restaurant and stopped by for coffee on many occasions, but 16th June was the second time that, on stopping to have a coffee, we were left waiting and totally ignored for over 15 minutes, after which we decided to leave. Although there were schoolchildren being served ice-creams, the people behind the bar were not exactly rushed off their feet. One was wiping trays and one disappeared outside to use her mobile 'phone. We had friends with us and we had told them about the Biscuit de Ste Mére, and were extremely disappointed that they weren't able to enjoy a coffee and ice-cream, and, unfortunately for the shop, they didn't feel inclined to go and look around or to buy anything afterwards. Nor did we feel inclined to book lunch for the following day.Regrettably we are reluctant to return, especially with our visitors.We are now in the holiday season and I feel that perhaps you should be able to cope more adequately. Perhaps a lesson in making feel people welcome would be appropriate."

"Mon avis ne concerne que l'accueil car nous n'y avons pas mangé. En effet, après avoir attendu un moment dans l'entrée, un monsieur d'un certain age est enfin venu nous voir pour finalement nous jeter à la figure que le restaurant était complet alors que la salle du fond était vide ! Il faut changer de métier Monsieur si vous ne supportez pas les gens."
