"I love Waitrose, love the bakery, get on well with the staff. The only reason I don’t give 5 spots is because it’s often short staffed. Mostly I get around this by self scanning but nowadays I even have to queue for the self scan some days. And heaven forbid if you ever have to have a re-scan, don’t let them do it, just delete the transaction queue up again because it will be quicker!"

"Stayed overnight and had an evening meal. Excellent. The breakfast also was very good...cereals and so forth, plus cooked food. We loved all the plants in the beer garden. Rooms: Our room was very good. However, my husband didn 't notice a sign saying 'Warning, step down into the bathroom ' or words to that effect, so stumbled and nearly hit his head! He couldn 't have a shower since it was above the bath and he is disabled so couldn 't use that (but only one night , so it didn 't matter). I don 't know if the inn has facilities for those with disabilities...you would have to check the website for accessibility etc. Anyway, the water and shower were nice and warm. And there was coffee, tea, milk and biscuits...and shampoo...I don 't recall if there was shower gel. Bed was comfortable. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great value"

"The village store is a perfect community hub! They stock a small range of everyday groceries and offers a delivery service if you can't get out. What they really excel in is the deli counter, the home made cakes are amazing! They also have sausage rolls and pies that they will heat for you and offer take away tea and coffee. For those visiting or passing through the village there is a small seating area outside for take out customers. There is a post office counter service. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We are so lucky to have this amazing village store."
