"It's always great in the summer to find a restaurant with dog friendly patio or sidewalk tables, especially when they don't say..."your dog has to sit outside the fence (on the pavement in the sun) when it is a temporary set up for the brief summer months on a sidewalk.The Cow and the Sow on the main street a block up from the Trent Severn locks fit the bill with picnic tables beside the restaurant in the shade at 1:30 pm. They have umbrellas for when they're in the sun and the dog settled down under the table with his traveling bowl of water.I had the Reuben on marbled rye with a Belgium wheat draft beer and my wife ordered the burger with peameal bacon. Both meals came with the best fries we've had in a very long time and we've discovered another excellent spot to eat when out and about in the Kawarthas with the pooch!"

"The Fenelon Tim Hortons is like any other Tim's. The trouble with it is the location. It can be very troublesome getting in and out of it and this location can be too busy. The drive through line is small, which backs the cars up on the adjoining street. If you leave towards Sobeys, you are at the mercy of the people leaving that parking lot. However, this location tends to have a lot of employees which can help clearing busy times."

"Recently had dinner here on a Saturday evening with another couple.It was a beautiful evening, and we ate out on the front patio. It was quiet and serene.Had the Thai Red Curry Chicken, and rice-wrapped Spring Rolls. both were very good.One of our party required a gluten-free dinner, and there was no problem getting this.Jessica was our Server. she was terrific! Fast, efficient and friendly.God Bless"

"I've been going to the various incarnations of this establishment for many years, and it never disappoints. For years, they have sold fresh Kawartha ice cream and delicious pizza. I like the patio that overlooks the locks, and it's the perfect place to get an ice cream or a milkshake and take across the road during warm days. They always have fresh pizza of different types, and they always warm it up and offer to slice it in half. It looks like the majority of the workers are summer students, and they have always been helpful and friendly. Prices seem to be reasonable. It's a favourite stop for us."
