"Five of us dined at Mia's for our first time on Friday night. The food was absolutely the best. Every dish we shared was so flavourful. Beef Vindaloo was melt in your mouth tasty, but also comes with a warning, that the heat level is not for the mild spice diners. Our friendly and helpful server, the head chef's wife, made sure we had plenty of water to keep the fire under control. The tandoori chicken was tender and moist and every bite came with the distinctive smokey tandoor flavour. The butter chicken was creamy and savoury, and the plate consisted of all chicken breast, no dark meat. The apps were equally delicious including the naan, garlic and regular, which were served hot out of the oven. The wine choices were fine, although our red wine was served quite warm, but not enough to return it. However, the mango lassi's were cold and refreshing. This small and well decorated Indian restaurant probably doesn't get the social media credit that it deserves. Probably because it's not located in the usual dining districts, but with plenty of parking and a very accessible location, I would highly recommend you experience the professional and friendly staff at Mia's St. Laurent, the food will speak for itself. "I came here with my mom. We don’t speak any French. Our server was accommodating, kind and lovely. We ordered the salad bar and I forgot how good it is! I haven’t eaten at a scores since 2010. The chili and toppings was my favourite. I won’t include any pictures of the absolute mess I made of cheese but it was delicious and the fresh fruit options were just that, fresh. Staff came to monitor and change buffet items frequently which was nice to see. The buffet was tidy and stocked well. Server brought me multiple refills. It was a nice experience to have a staff who is so attentive. I can’t wait to go back and build several plates of nachos and salad again!"
