"Excellent food but u must wait…it fits Indian habitudes . Very helpful staff, kind and handsome!!! Enjoy! Ciao ciao. I had mushroom paneer fried rice, my friend had onions soup not bad. Fruit custard and chocolate pudding. All up to scratch"

"It's by far the best food I had on this whole trip so far. If you want real home cooked north indian food, this is the perfect place for you. Terrace seating is there. Very nice people and quick service. It's simply the best pure veg food. Seems like I had real food after so many days. We tried dal, mix veg and paneer dishes as well. Their chapati is just perfect. Highly recommend for vegetarian meals!"

"Been for lunches and breakfasts. The food is very good and it came very spicy as I had requested. This is also a cheap place to eat. The restaurants on the beach charge more just so tourists can look at the sea! Alan’s is really not difficult to find. Look for the alley near Hotel Orion. There are Two other veggie restaurants signed down same alley. Keep walking down and Alan’s is on right. Lovely woman served me each time I went. So friendly and helpful. Am in Kovalam for a few more weeks and will be going back many times."

"This is a small place, with good, vegetarian, homemade food. The couple who runs the restaurant are very sweet people and they personally cook and serve the food. Highly recommend for all vegetarians. Also, do try the pizza here."
