Sosmix Burgamix were revolutionary products that they helped many friends to become vegan in the 80s. ......so although CIWF does not directly promote veganism, they will certainly help breed animals. . . Here are some additional background information. by Kim Stallwood aka Grumpyvegan. Peter and Anna Roberts preached Howard Lyman about 30 years. They were dairy farmers who were outraged by the treatment of farm animals. After abandoning agriculture and as a vegetarian, they formed the CIWF 1967. They also started direct foods that produce the stacks of many British vegetarians and vegans, Sosmix and Burgamix, a dry mix that is fried with water and fried. The mission of Direct Foods is to provide consumers with a soy product that they can eat without being first consumed by animals that then become meat. Peter and Anna founded the CIWF as an organization that resists cruel practices in animal breeding. It has never promoted vegetarianism — although they and many of the employees do not eat meat and dairy products — because they believed it was important for the consumer to make their own spirit on what was on their plate. It also made strategic sense. CIWF is an organization for Veg and Nonveg alike to come together comfortably to challenge the most gigantic examples of agricultural animal abuse. "I wish I could be more complimentary about our local curry house but it's continuously average at best. Tonight's meals : Naga lamb, okay Mixed Grill, so overvooked and dry. Almost inedible Ceylon chicken, bland/ tasteless Lamb saag, okay King prawn puri, very nice Tarka Dahl, nice Naans, nice Mint sauce doesn't taste of mint at all Mushroom bhaji, wasn't even a bhaji. "The tea shop is part of the beautiful Arts and Crafts Watts Gallery. It serves lunch and tea options and some decent vegan fare. It’s a favourite with art-lovers, locals and well-heeled pensioners who can be a bit sharp-elbowed when it comes to getting a table. I visited on a busy Friday lunchtime and enjoyed one of two remaining vegan offerings: the hummus and salad sandwich (the other being a veg soup). The sold-out items included a veg chilli and roasted veg salad. They also offer vegan cake. I wasn’t expecting much but the sandwich was packed with veg, well-seasoned, on chunky granary bread and with a dressed salad garnish. Tasty and filling. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area or seeking a cultural day out in the Surrey countryside."

"I've been here a few times. The staff is friendly and fast, it is clean, and there are several vegan options. It is family-friendly and it is regular hunting for moms and babies, so if you prefer to sit in the quiet head above. There are toilets on both floors. This place is quite expensive, but there are similar places in the city that are with it like Roost at the end of the city. Vegan Burger was Fab."
