"I 've eaten in good, bad and middling restaurants over the years, but Le Vieux Cedre is outstandingly dreadful. After an average buffet d 'entrees, the main course was steak and mashed potatoes (no chips despite them being shown as available). To call the piece of gristle... 'steak ' is an insult to farming; I feed much better to the dog, and the 'mashed potato ' was presumably an instant mash diluted to a near liquid slop and given a certain 'je ne sais quoi ' by the addition of a curling dark hair. We passed on the cheese course and having seen the only available dessert, we also rejected that. Despite our obvious revulsion we were still charged for the full menu. The restaurant was crowded: I can only imagine how bad the others in this town must be! We 've lived in France in various départements for over 17 years and have never been so badly served. If you doubt my words, look at my other reviews."
