"I have lived in portobello Road all my life, I am 63 now. When Makan first opened the food was above perfection. My mother, brothers and sisters ate there. I also new the owner such a Friendly man with a beautiful family. My work uses to have meetings there and brought good customer. Unfortunately the food is now salty some favorite dishes are burnt and some of the staff do not serve you. This is not a good look for this restaurant."

"I’ve been a regular customer since the Brixton brunch opened. Ever since that’s been my local visit for a desert. Sometime this year I had an miss understanding with a worker because my Oder was completely wrong. I did address the issue straight away my waffle was cold and had the wrong toppings) they took 15-20 mins to bring it back and when it came back it was still wrong and they asked me to pay more for the toppings I wanted, which I did pay and they still got it wrong the third time so i gave up and left without getting a refund because it was refused. Left every disappointment and didn’t return. After a very long time me and my family 15 of us) returned back expecting better service. We walked in and got a table stringy away which was great. We then got up to go to the till yo place our Oder and was approached by the lady below and she mentioned very aggressively that we must all leave because we are not welcomed at creams. She mentioned that the manager has requested we must leave but the manager was not on shift that day 12/05/19) I requested a explanation but she was being very rude and kept asking for us to leave and was being very rude and unprofessional. I mentioned I will take a picture and complain and she said She don’t care We have to leave if We like or not not because she won’t serve us. Once I took the picture she got one of the workers to seat us down again. As a regular customers we shouldn’t of been treated in that manner at all. We won’t be returning due to bad customer service and no explanation."

"Welcoming staff and bustling, cosy atmosphere. I came in off the street on a weekeday evening and was eating alone. It was very busy and lively but service was good and friendly. Went for a simple mezze starter with a greek salad. These were absolutely delicious and for a brief spell, I was transported to greece on a cold London evening. Reasonably priced and good portions."
