"5 stars for the atmosphere, 3 stars for eating and 1 star for the prices. have been too many French bakeries on the east coast and this is by far the most expensive but not the best quality. if I'm gonna pay $32 for 4 bucks, I'd better be consecrated. traveled far away and we were a bit disappointed."

"Comfortable room, if a bit small. Front desk was excellent. Nice pool. Service in Twigs Lounge, however was terribly uneven. Really spoiled our meal."

"The Pickin ' Patch is a seasonal farm stand and country store that opened in Avon, Connecticut in 1666. Historically it is known as Woodford Farm and it was founded by Joseph Woodford. It is one of the 10 oldest family farms in Connecticut. The farm has essentially been in the Woodford Family throughout its 350+ year existence. The current owner for the past 20+ years is Christopher Carville, whose mother was Janet Woodford Carville. At one time the farm was 350 acres, but today it is a much more manageable 77 acres. The farm used to raise animals and was once an award-winning dairy farm. Today the Pickin ' Patch earns a living from its fruits and vegetables. Pumpkins are the farm 's biggest crop, but the farm also offers squash, gourds, mums, tomatoes, and other various types of fresh produce. My family and I have visited the Pickin ' Patch a couple of times over the years. It 's a great place to visit in the Autumn. If you need pumpkins then you will find a huge selection here. You can pick out a pumpkin right outside the country store or you can grab a wheelbarrow and head straight to the Pumpkin Patch to find the most perfect pumpkin. My wife and I had a nice It 's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown -themed photo shoot in the pumpkin patch with our son who was dressed as Linus. Afterwards we explored the store where you can find plenty of fresh produce, apple cider, pies, fresh honey, and various jellies, jams and sauces. Bakery Boys food stand is parked at The Pickin ' Patch during the Autumn. Customers can get fried dough, deep-fried oreos, apple fritters, donuts, hot chocolate, hot or cold cider, coffee, lemonade, and other tasty treats. We couldn 't leave without getting a bag of their delicious apple fritters. The Pickin ' Patch is always a great place to visit in Autumn!"

"I'm not sure how many times a business can screw up?! I'd say they get my order wrong 3 out of 4 orders. Haven't been in awhile and thought I would treat myself, went through the drive through and ordered two doughnuts and a tea. Thankfully they got my tea right... Definitely not going there anymore, at least for awhile"

"Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Omelette was great and delicious. The domestic frits, usually a reflection in most places, were highly spiced and very tasteful. The staff is great. The only weak point was the cold Braukaffee (which was better at the previous site)."

"Went for Sunday brunch and had a great experience! the personal is super friendly and will ensure that everything is approved veg (menu is also clearly marked). share the short avocado toast, buffalo broccoli flower cabbage and the vegan ice cream. the toast on a large piece of sourded with avo, kicherbsen, plucked wobble, chives and curry powder. our waitress noticed that the toast discs were missing and about a container of him, most attention to detail I experience in a restaurant! the ei (they use just eier) sandwich was good, but could have used something more than spinat and tomaten. still delicious, especially with a side of home fries. the highlight of the meal was the buffalo broccoli and the cauliflower. perfect amount of crispy and a healthy amount of buffalo sauce, which is a perfect bit with a vegan ranch. the coffee and the spicy bloody mary are both awesome. a little on the expensive side in general, but definitiw reasonable for a high quality brunch."
