"It was very average. Camping restaurant decor. Servers responding arrogantly. Lousy cocktail drowned in ice cubes. Appetizer: pizza crusts from the day before?! An incipid 4 cheeses. The wine was very good. We didn't have dessert until we saw the faces they had. Blah blah evening for €50 per person without dessert. For ever."

"Goudargues is a picture perfect village with the tree shaded stream running down its centre having inviting looking restaurants set on either side. But on the two visits we have made in the last two years we have declined this invitation and walked downstream and...turned right, where you will find Chez Marianne also attractively situated by the water. And you’ll find a very good value lunch too. We went for the lunchtime “formule”. We enjoyed a nice minute steak and the cafe gourmand that followed was exceptional with several mini desserts of very high quality. The young crew that run the place were very personable and all in all it was a very pleasantly passed hour or so."
