"An excellent NGS day at ulting wick and iced walk in the heybridge basin meant that I ignored my homemade munch thermos. Fish and chips may be a year for me. both employees, their friendliness, geduld and prices were fabulous, as well as the freshly broken cadry huge portions! 5, absolutely."

"Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, great service, nice eating. for the first time and will return to the final. good value for money. I am used to high-end facilities, but the fish on the quay has not disappointed! I wanted to celebrate mamas birthday. mum cannot tolerate a pfeffer or hot seasoning, so that the salsa verde was left with the sea stream, but the rest of the meal was fabulous. I had panko herbal crossed salmon. again very tasty and the accompanying salad was really fantastic! my son had the classic pizza that was very enjoyed. he is very hard to please, as it has a high functioning autism. he also felt really comfortable, which is a rare thing. I think the friendliness of the staff and the pleasant atmosphere helped him to feel safe. dessert was also delicious and very satisfying. mum was excited about how delicious the ice was that came with her pfirsich clafoutis. my treacle carpet was amazing! fantastic evening that after the pandemic year becomes one of our happy memories."

"Pretty much what you expect, only one till open so a long wait at the end. Lots of gaps in stock, a little frustrating but could still get a substitute. Staff were very friendly and helpful"

"First time visiting. Myself and a friend took my children last Friday on the boat trip during half term to Heybridge basin. We popped in on the off chance looking for a table. We will 100% be coming back again. Very friendly and helpful service. Food was incredible. Not normally generous on food scores unless it's perfect. No long waits. Food was beautiful and warm. Two kids meals were more than ample in size. My sandwich had so much filling and my friend said her liver and bacon was amazing. It looked it too. Chips were enormous. My son and I shared the scampi and my sandwiches. We weren't going to have one but we went for pudding too. My friend had the crumble. I had the cherry pie (really recommend it! not for the faint hearted. Kids had ice cream. Absolutely delicious will be returning"

"I fail to see how any reviewer can possibly describe this restaurant as bland food was very tasty from the Cauliflower Maneer and Dupiaza to the Bahjis and the Naam! Nect time it's got to be one of the seafood special curries... highly commended. Just one point there is the restaurant and the PUB next door food can be served in either. There is a great selection of drinks and IF you have a pooch you can even take them in the pub! Just watch they do not steal what's on your plate!"
In pleasant weather you can even eat and drink in the outdoor area.
