"Both of us wonderful seafood dinners here. I had scallops and pasta in a light cream sauce. Best ever, so tender and cooked perfectly. Pinot Grigio wine, and key lime pie to finish. Friendly efficient service. We suggest reservations as it is not a big place. But a gem."

"From here, they were supposed to hunt fresh salmon. two whole sockeye salmon. the meat on the inside was crushed and destroyed. I threw back and exchanged it. I'm back home and have one for a family bbq. the flesh was crushed and decomposed. the dinner was ruined. we called to get a refund and they were extremely rude and unprofessional. they are warned about something fresh. frozen was okay, but I'm never going to go shopping again."

"They advertise gluten free fish and chips but when questioned further they only use GF batter and DO NOT have a dedicated fryer. Proprietor argued the drying ‘killed the gluten’ (that old chestnut) and said she had a regular celiac customer who ate it all the time. Absolutely NOT celiac safe"

"Pleasantly surprised! We decided to try Bamboo Gardens tonight and given our poor luck finding good Chinese food in the area we didn't have high"

"Good food, friendly service, very reasonable prices. However the place looked closed and there was no welcome sign or open sign on the door. I wasn't the only person to second guess if the door was the entrance to the restaurant."

"A Relaxing Experience.. Recently we decided to spent a couple of nights in Parksville and the Tigh Na Mara was on top of our list. Although in my opinion the hotel is not much to rave about, the grotto and tapas were amazing. We booked our table for 1:00pm and our experience lasted almost 4 hours. Sitting in our robes we relaxed as the 21 dishes of tapas came out slowly one by one. Dishes such as, Smoked Duck Breast (which was one of our favorites) to Raclette Yukon Gold Potato Croquettes (least favorite). Each dish was beautifully presented, with a variety of diverse flavors."
The original Canadian meals from Treetops Tapas Grill, prepared with products from the country, are popular.

"At first glance, this place seems really pricey but in actuality it's pretty in line with other places in town except you get a pretty amazing view.Went here twice on my last trip to Parksville and was pretty pleased both times. The first time we came for happy hour where you can get a dozen oysters for $20, including both east and west coast oysters. Glasses of prosecco are only $5.The second time we came for nachos and while $19 for a half order of nachos with no protien initially seemed nuts, they were really good value. Enough chips for two, great cheese distribution and tasty toppings. Guac is $4 extra but they do give you a heaping portion of all sources. It's been a while since I have had nachos this good.The service was excellent and they have daily features.Kid-friendliness: This place is very good friendly.Parking: There is free parking at the resort."
