"We expected a room at the Anchor Inn. Instead we were sent to the Alphabet Fleet. The staff at the Alphabet Fleet says that there are lots of people who expected to be at the Anchor end up at the Alphabet Fleet because their website is deceiving and apparently, according to the staff, the owner refuses to fix it. Why would they they get more rooms booked. The Alphabet Fleet Inn is landlocked, so No water scenery. No air conditioning (during hot, muggy nights) so we were miserable from lack of sleep. No security because we had to leave the window open and anyone could have entered the room through the window. The ONLY reason they get a two star instead of one star is because the staff at the Alphabet were friendly."

"Charming, popular restaurant in Twillingate. They were busy so they gave us a buzzer and directed us to the very scenic seaside Wharf bar, then back to Annie's for dinner. Good menu with lots of interesting choices. Fast service, food was out promptly and very tasty. We had Fish Tacos and the Shrimp Scallops, both were excellent. Highly recommended!"

"This place will probably remind you of your favourite coffee shop back home. It had helpful staff and evident family ownership as opposed to a big corporation. There was seating both inside and out, great coffee and baked goods and spectacular views! The only suggestion I can give is to try to avoid peak times.......those would be the same peak times for the lighthouse which is just a short ways up the road. Try early morning or late afternoon for a better experience. There is some parking, but a little tricky due to the few spots and the grade of the hill."
