"The words 'hidden gem ' get bandied about far too often, but if there ever was an outlet deserving of the title, this would be it. If you 're accustomed to the MSG-laden flavours of neighbouring joints, then you might find those of Bonjour Vietnam somewhat muted. The couple of times I 've dined there, the dishes have been consistently fresh, tasty and interesting. Personal favourites include the Banh Canh Cua and prawns wrapped in pork belly. You 'll also find dishes with a French influence like Bo Kho. A varied menu ensures return visits."

"My absolute favourite place to eat out. I've been to many sushi places yet I haven't found sushi that comes anywhere near as good as mitsuko's. The staff are so friendly and wonderful. I've been going for at least 6 years and I've never been disappointed. Great place to eat and I give a strong recommendation to anyone who wants amazing food for a low price."

"As well as having given up coffee for over month weeks I have also given up eating raw fish for a similar time. This was a struggle as I would probably eat a salmon or tuna sushi pack at least a couple of times a week for lunch. Today the fraught was broken as I grabbed a salmon sushi pack to take away for lunch. Not sure if it was the long absence but it was absolutely delicious and flavoursome. I always add wasabi, soy sauce and ginger and the accompanying condiments were generous here."

"I have eaten at Narai Thai literally dozens of times over the decades. It was one of the first Northcote/Thornbury haunts that wasn't a pub, and it effectively set the standard for the area. On a recent visit we agreed that we had never had a bad meal here. Yes, the service can vary, but the food is always good and as it's still BYO, an evening here is good value.The night we were there consisted of two big tables - a hen's night and a birthday group. Although it was noisy, we still had our order taken and received our meal in acceptable timeframes. We had the curry puffs and the prawns wrapped n spring roll wrappers to start. Both were great. As was our pad thai with prawn and a yellow beef curry. This is a local worth going back for."

"Ying Thai makes the best Thai food that I've had in Melbourne A big call, I know, but I've been there several times and always loved their food."
