"Booked valentine meal in the vine inn. omgoodness what a tasty bite. special 5 curs meal for 2 for £ 55. small suppe, then a starter, I had warm duck and orangensalat. was smoked and delicious. my hubby had brush with crab, again delicious. my head was huh with choristo stuff, gazed kartoffels and a red Pesta sauce. Totally delicious. hubby had sea bass again cooked to perfection. my whisper was a chocolate, caramel pots that I could not stop eating. hubby had homemade strawberry cheesecake. we need to send our compliments to the cook for its fantastic kitchen. that was one of the most beautiful times we had. personal friendly. if they have booked this food for Monday, they are for a contract. Many thanks that they give us a night to remember, even table setting was nice. pete and jayne hayward"

"As a pub this place has never been great but it has always had a warm, welcoming feel, a few locals propping up the bar, some tourists drinking out front in the summer, a log fire in the winter. When we heard that it had been taken over (by the old landlord 's sons) we were really keen to check it out. Sadly all the charm has gone, whitewashed walls and strip lights mean it feels more like the kind of place you 'd pop in to buy a bucket and spade than settle in to enjoy a pint, let alone dinner. We didn 't eat so can 't comment of the quality of the pizza but the drinks were fine, we had a black IPA which wasn 't up to much and a Pimms, which they had no fruit for. The service was prompt and friendly but it just feels like such a wasted opportunity when they have such a prime location. This could be a great destination pub but sadly feels like a showroom for a bunch of branded taproom tat. I would say a swing and a miss but to be honest it doesn 't feel like they 've even bothered picking up the bat. Shame."

"Lovely food!! We stayed in St Helens and we had to keep coming back food and service was amazing dog friendly to we also went to there fun pub quiz if I was in the isle of white would defo vist again"

"Walked there, had a couple of home grown pints. Nice fresh, homemade pizzas. Quite small and warm inside. Sat outside. Selection of beers great, selection of other drinks pretty poor a Prosecco for the Mrs on something? Was good not great."

"We had a terrific dinner at Angel in the Kitchen on Bembridge High Street. This was our first time eating in their restaurant although we had previously enjoyed their food at various events. The cicchetti and the amazing charcuterie board were fantastic and we were thoroughly spoilt for choice with a really interesting menu. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour, wonderful starters (I particularly enjoyed the tomato, burrata and roasted peach salad and for the main course my Sardines were beautifully cooked on the BBQ with a really fresh cauliflower cous cous . My wife had the Poussin which she thought was outstanding (as did other diners by the sound of comments we heard from another table! . The front of house staff looked after us beautifully and helped us through the menu. We will be back and will come very hungry so we can enjoy even more courses!"

"My wife and I had a starter and main at the Yarbridge Inn. Despite it being busy, we managed to get a table for two late notice. Attentive friendly and quick service. The squid starter was fresh and excellent and Beer battered cod, with chips and salad was outstanding and a very large portion. All-round very good food and service and highly rated. Would recommend.."

"Absolute jewel of a place. my man and I were over yesterday and decided to come in. it had a great mood and the staff was all so friendly. there was a slight mistake with my eating, but it was immediately taken back and put right without quibble. everyone was very apologetic, even the cook we saw when we came back at the end of his layer. we visit the island frequently and will definitely be back. many thanks for a beautiful last night on the island"
