"We were recommended Restaurant La Brèche by the chambre d’hote where we were staying, and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully appointed with crisp linen, lovely glassware and smartly suited waiting staff. We ate from a set Euro menu of either starter and...main, or main and dessert. My Limousin beef with beetroots and cacao sauce was perfectly tender, rich and tasty, and my partner’s John Dory came with light summer vegetables. We both had cheese for afters from a fantastic selection of goat, sheep and cow cheeses with apricot conserve. The bill, including water, aperitif, beer and a small pichet of rosé came to just under euros. Well recommended for a meal in the beautiful town of Amboise."
