"If you have had Cajun/Asian, you will find the Saucy Crab is as good as most of those types of restaurants. Since my favorite seafood boil restaurant is the Boiling Crab in Dallas, I compare all crab boil restaurants to that. Other than the quality of shrimp, which is likely a function of the distance from a source of fresh seafood and probable supply chain issues, the Saucy Crab is almost as good. The spices in the buttery, garlicky sauce are excellent. The flavors should be strong they surely are in the Woo Pig Sooie sauce. If you are a fan of this type of food this is worth your time as it is definitely better than the other option a little further west on 28th street. If you've never tried it, give it a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised. Just don't wear your best clothes as this can get a bit messy. I hope this restaurant continues to excel but in a selfish way, I'm hoping success is limited because I don't want to go back to the 2 hour waits that are common for these types restaurants in the gulf states."

"I just returned from my Birthday dinner at the Spinnaker in Grand Rapids MI. We expected an above average dining experience but it was far from above average or even average. We ordered and the steak my guest ordered was very underdone so it had to be sent back which left me to eat my meal alone. Then once I had completed my entire meal the finally steak came back, without the blue cheese it had on it when it got sent back. A manager came over to ask how everything was and when we told her what had happened all she did was offer us a free dessert. Our waitress was not very apologetic even when we pointed out that we both ate our entire meals alone and that we were celebrating a birthday. So we took our free dessert home and told the manager that we would not ever return, which we will not. If you are looking to celebrate something special do not pick this restaurant. There are many other wonderful places to eat in Grand Rapids, heck we have had much better service at Smokey Bones next door that we did at this high class restaurant. Poor service and average food made this a birthday I will not soon forget unfortunately for all the wrong reasons."
