"Found this place entirely by accident whilst cycling through France. I was on the banks of the Gironde and was just pottering about when I saw a sign for Port de Saint-Vivien. The restaurant wasn't advertised, I just stumbled upon it by the river with boats alongside, the lot. Clearly a family run establishment and I received a warm welcome. Plenty of fresh fish and shellfish on the menu, but the full range. I started with lovely bulots with lemon mayonnaise followed by two lemon sole, simply fried with french fries. The sun was shining and it was a lovely meal. I suspect they catch a lot of what they serve and I was treated to a couple of freshwater crayfish that they had just caught and cooked. Delicious."
