"Visited our favourite Restaurant for special occasions again. Did not disappoint with superb Cromer Crab and Special of the Day, turbot, cooked as we preferred. A wet and cold December day eclipsed by the warmth of the venue and staff."

"Ordered a portion of southern fried 2 pieces of chicken and chips. I politely asked for 2 breast pieces. The lady serving, bluntly said no and I was only allowed one breast and one leg. The menu clearly states 2 pieces of chicken without further details. The service was rude and arrogant. They dictated to what I should have. Clearly if I am a paying customer I can request what’s on display. The older man who seemed to be the owner was also very arrogant. This is the last time I will go there. Bruno’s at the seafront on canvey island has the same menu and is always courteous polite. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"We ordered food at 6:50 and were told it would arrive by 8. With no food at 8:30 we called them and they said it would be 15 minutes. 30 minutes later we called and they again told us 15 minutes. Then we proceeded to call them multiple times but they didn't answer. When the food eventually arrived the driver said they had turned off the phones as they were having multiple complaints. Absolutely shambolic service, will never be ordering from here again."

"This has always been our local favourite however on the last 2 occasions the take away has not been good. The first time put it down to a one off, did pre order so perhaps just busy! This week , on a Wednesday and just for 2 of us we fancied a favourite. So very disappointing! Fish overcooked and tasteless, fish dry and skin was like rubber!? We used ti clear our plates, batter light and crispy but not now? Dont know what has gone wrong but so not good...chips not as good either, undercooked if anything. Sorry, wont be coming back for more."

"Iw had fish n chips here 4 times now on separate occasions and eating is just better n better. keep doing what you do, they and their employees will harvest the benefits of the hard work they insert. canvey seafront finally has a chip store to be too proud."
