"This was such a pleasant experience - the food was fresh and excellent, and the service was top notch. We were even greeted with a complementary sushi pizza taster which was pretty amazing. With just a short walk from my work, I will be here often!"

"The menu was not the standard fare for sushi restaurants, even though it was not particularly expensive. The fish was very fresh and flavourful. I tried the sushi pizza based, on reviews. It was sinful but delicious."

"I have eaten Sushi from Japan, Hawaii , Vancouver and always return to Chikara Sushi. Very good quality fish and generous portions in all there rolls. If you have room for dessert I would highly recommend the tempura bananas. Very light crispy batter and a very generous portion of vanilla ice cream topped with a shot of plum wine."

"We very much enjoyed our lunch here. It was what you would expect from any similar restaurant. We ate on the patio and appreciated the stable plates for those customers dining in. They had a very healthy take-out service the whole time we ate with customers constantly coming and going. We enjoyed the mixed tempura and the beef yakisoba. The yakisoba noodles were the size of spaghetti noodles, and the dish had far too much sauce on it, but it was yummy. The tempura was also very good. We liked the ambiance of the Uptown Mall and people watching while we ate was great."

"Our last afternoon in Vancouver and we wanted something fast and healthy and came across Umi Sushi Express. It seemed like a family business and they constantly produced fresh rolls, I asked for a few rolls they didn't have and made them within minutes. I can't say much more, it was gone sushi, but it was fresh and delicious."
