"It was a Wednesday night and we were lucky to get a table for two without a booking. Despite that the floor staff were on top of everything and we got water and our orders taken quickly. Condesa had a nice atmosphere and they've retained the hotel's heritage while still trying to include a Mexican vibe. There was a bit of a wait for the food but once it started coming there was a good flow. Our favourite was the chorizo and beef cheek quesadilla, with the mole and the enchiladas following. Our kingfish was unfortunately overcured and the eggplant dish didn't quite live up to expectations. The margaritas were good though."

"A surprise visit to Hotel Royal and I was not disappointed. A welcoming atmosphere and a lovely fireplace on a windy and cold evening. I opted for a beef burger. It was well presented and pretty tasty. I wouldn't mind giving it another go."
