"The setting is beautiful the food looks great unfortunately it stops there. We went early evening as it’s the only place in walking distance of where we were staying. One of our starters for €8 was a bowl of mixed leaves topped with edible flowers one of which we were warned tastes very bitter. No point in using edible flowers if they actually don’t taste good or somehow compliment the food surely? Lamb for main was tough tasteless with no seasoning and served with a very sloppy bowl of courgette, similarly sloppy bowl of ratatouille and green beans with no seasoning. Even the accompanying bread was dry and tough. To put into perspective, this cost us €80 for two, both eating two courses and sharing a bottle plus one extra glass of wine. We had an incredible 3 course meal with a bottle of wine in the heart of Montpellier for €72."
