"I was there for a fund raising function so not everything is applicable however I will say I was disappointed in the food served. I guess I thought there would be a hot buffet but instead there were just some appetizers. On top of that, there were two things I couldn't identify what I was eating. The first was what I thought was going to be a hamburger slider. But when I bit into it, I had no idea what it was. Definitely NOT a burger. The only thing I could make out was coleslaw. Then I was offered something encased in a pie type pastry, small. I asked the person serving it to me what it was and he said swordfish. There was something thick to dip it into, which I did. There was absolutely NO fish taste to what I was eating. Now I know swordfish isn't exactly a fishy fish, but there was not a trace of fish. And the very spicy dip did not help as it masked whatever I was eating. And $20 for a margarita that wasn't very strong seems crazy, especially for a restaurant of this type and caliber."

"Overcooked burger. Sent back, and they said that was the way they cooked a medium burger. Took at bite to see if it still had any flavor (my wife did the same). Was really tasteless and as overcooked at it looked. Asked to take it off the check. Was told we ate too much, best they could do was to take of 35%. Experience wasn?t terrible, just at those prices would really expect them to know how to cook a medium burger, and at least admit to overcooking it. If it were me, I would have just redone the burger?.and made the customer happy. Mushroom salad was really bad as well (that one they took off the check right away). On the more positive side, Pizzas were pretty good, but not the typical Italian style. All in, not horrible, but felt there were some simple ways to satisfy customers."

"We found Glen from Red Bar. With my over years of industry experience in NYC, out here there are maybe quality restaurants between EH SH. The Inn has areal CHEF, all these other restaurants have people called chef's that are NOT. This guy understands the elements of cooking. For me, the menu really didn't offer anything straight forward, as usual too many unnesary ingredients convoluting the dish. But what we had: Poached Oysters, Osso Bucco, Rack of Lamb. Oyster prep was spot on, Lamb was extremely tender , accompanied veg. perfect. Osso w/ pasta the pasta was excellent, not sure if it was house made but quality, Veal good. The Corn Bread must have more sugar it is more like warm cornmeal. The bar tender knows how to shake a properly chilled Martini, so simple but so difficult for most. Glen, John, and ??? were trained well do a professional job! We will be coming back. We stayed away for years after they opened as whom ever was in the kitchen knew nothing about cooking, Kyle the bar man needed to learn about Mis en Place, that making a cocktail can not take an hour per drink per guest while daughter Pump knew nothing about the business, all a blackeye on the industry and a waste of a wanna ne restaurant. Now probably the best East End restaurant!"
