"Friendly staffs, spacious cool dining area. Food tastes alright and crayfish dish was more than enough for 2 people as it was served with a bunch of chips it was more like a 'Chips with Crayfish Garnish '. Can 't say it was a good plating... it rather made us less appetizing. There 's no need to order any extra chips/salad. We ordered extra salad which we couldn 't even touch because we were so full after crayfish sharing dish tiger prawn. However not bad for its price. Won 't order any other large plate or side if I visit again for another crayfish."
When the weather is good you can also eat outside.

"Somewhat expensive, but very crispy chips are a bonus, as is the range available it's surprising how hard it is to get seafood in the middle of NZ's biggest coastal city! Nice range of dishes, but it's hard to go past the fish and chips as good as you'd get at any gastropub, though a little smaller than a number of the pubs for the same size. As usual for a Elliot Stables place, be ready to knifefight for a table, and bring your own wet wipes to wipe it down chances are that the tables are sticky again. *sigh*"

"Went there with a Groupon voucher. Portion size may be on the smaller size but was really happy with what they presented. We ordered the pan-fried prawn cutlet with tomato sauce for shared entree, chilli-salt salmon with noodles and mussels, prawns, chicken with Chinese sausage in paella for mains. Absolutely loved my salmon. Nice flavour, a bit crispy on the outside and very tender inside; the paella was well seasoned and I enjoyed every mouthful. Original price (without voucher) may be slightly on the higher end- but it's Wynyard quarter."
The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat in beautiful weather.
