"Banners will be something for some...and not other's cup of tea. We stopped here for breakfast and had a solid breakfast for a reasonable price. People watching from the booths along the window helped pass an hour while the rain passed. People watching inside...and having people watch you back...was an interesting experience. From what I could see there were a large number of regulars and they had a good rapport with the servers...and the servers were friendly and efficient. Are there nicer places to go? Probably. Are there places to go with a more ethnic flavor to their menu? On Commercial Drive? Absolutely. But if you want to sit amongst the locals and have an uncomplicated, inexpensive meal than this fits the bill."

"The menu in sun bo kong vegetarian explains, eat it right. for the love of our animal friends and for our beautiful planets. very nice! we arrived on Sunday morning for the Dimm-Summe menu, although they offer a complete menu of vegetarian joys. we started with the well-known deep fried taro dumplings. this was crispy and hot at the arrival and had a hearty filling of what I suspect contain mushrooms and bambus shoot among others. I always believe that when vegetarian restaurants offer a few fried dishes, they are able to reach my heart. the pumpkin congee was ugly with delicious Kombucha-Quark. rich and comforting, this court would not have benefited from meat. in any case at the creative end of the skala was mango green tea mini pancake. halfway between the reisroll and dessert, this pfanncake was almost tortilla-like, while the filling was cold and sweet. in any case, something we would order again and just a bit away from the beaten one. the red rice rolls were also in the rice roll area. Apart from the obvious (red) this came close to the castors we are used. again they had a mixed filling, but must contain some Chinese donut as they had a little crispy. the xia long baos were a bit suspicious about the purists. they were tasty and I would try them again, but the suppe had completely expired when they reached us. I think the problem could have been with the dough, as they were quite sticky and were difficult to remove the paper in the steam machine. yet they were textural and even in the thick of the teigs, decent enough. only no suppe! another fried dish was Deep-Fried bean curb skin filled with burdock. sat with vinegar on the side, these filled again our fat, crispy demand. Finally, there was still a close-down with siu mai. listed on the menu as mais and oatmeal, from any reason, I expected another textur, but they were definitiv from a foliage texture. not bad, only not something I would order again. everything in all it was nice to know that this Chinese use is available for the vegetarian community. the rear corridor has a few pictures of well-known vegetarians and their feelings that should give us break to reflect. the nutritional community must come out more to promote this healthy, earthly and human species of eating. meatless Monday seems only a little weak in these days. I'm the first to admit that it's not easy, but more and more seems to meet the right choice."

"I had a severe case of food poisoning from eating here. Ended up throwing up multiple times, and had to take a day off to recuperate. It was a horrible experience, one that I 'm hoping nobody has. When I tried to contact the business, they were ineffective in their communication. I had to repeat my contact information to them 5 6 times. They also claimed that I refused to take the email address of their manager, which never happened that was made up. They claimed that they would investigate the issue before offering me any kind of compensation, despite my extremely detailed account of what happened. Overall, an extremely negative experience. Update: I was given a refund of the amount I paid for my order. Still, will not be returning ."
