"This restaurant is right downtown. It has a diverse menu, with typical items and variations. Our group tried some excellent soups. There were all kinds of enchiladas, including some oddball combinations such as enchiladas motuleñas, a variation on a Yucatecan egg dish made with ham and peas. Actually this looked quite good but I passed it up for enchiladas in a chile mora sauce. Chile mora is a very spicy dried chile, but very tasty, and this (very spicy) sauce was exquisite. Someone at the table ordered a tlacoyo which was oddly served in a bowl, but was an ample portion in a nice green sauce. Especially good was a trout al ajillo (with dried chiles and roasted garlic) that a friend ordered. Even the accompanying rice was delicious. We were in a hurry to get back to Pachuca, and our server was responsive and quick. Prices were a bargain, especially given the level of care paid to the recipes and the food preparation.I think that there are plenty of ordinary tourist traps in this town. This is not one of them. I suggest giving them a try."
