"This place is a hidden gem! The staff was so friendly and quick! They kept drinks and chips full. The food is great and unique for the area, get the plantains if you go! Also their salsa has more flavor than most restaurants in Catawba county."
What S Lazarus doesn't like about Casa Azul Mexican Kitchen: The atmosphere and the vibe is amazing, but the food was ok. The tortilla chips that came with the salsa had a very bad ratio. Some of the tortilla chips were hard and some of the tortilla chips were fresh. I order the birria tacos and it was a let down. The consummae/soup had no flavor, the tacos were bland. The other dishes that I have seen look good, but the birra tacos don't hit read more.
