"Well not been to The Haynes for such a long time why! These fish and chips are still the best around. You have to go a long way to find a fish and chip restaurant cooking in Beef Dripping OK not a vegan style but hey we are entitled to have at least one traditional ‘Chippy’. The Cod was moist and as fresh as it comes and the chips were cooked to perfection. A friendly and family restaurant and takeaway we booked a table which was a very pleasant experience service excellent. Can’t praise The Haynes enough despite a 40 mile round trip we will be eating here regularly from now on. Food reviews are very subjective and so our experience may not reflect others; we have often found that you are at the mercy of the chef on the day we were so looking forward to our meal at the Haynes, we were not disappointed. Highly recommended."

"My best friend and I were here for the weekend. jill was not only a warm welcome, but a nice and accommodating host! with a beautiful room also! highly recommended! we're coming back!"

"They have recently gone through a price review. It was so cheap that I wondered how they made money but over the last couple of years the prices have crept up to around the level of Wetherspoons. There is a wait of 10 minutes or so whilst the food is cooked individually. I cannot say it is plated wonderfully but the food lands on the plate itself which I suppose is all that matters. I liked the atmosphere and helpful attitude off the staff who are efficient."

"A massive thank you from all staff and residents from Ellsworth House in Westfield for donating 15 pizzas for our dinner. We had a great selection of 10 different pizzas and could try a bit of each, all of them were really tasty and crispy. We also enjoyed some lovely desserts ? It was a very nice gesture from the local business ?"

"Disappointed with the food and some of the service this evening. The burger was as if it was frozen and served up, had nicer patties for a couple of quid from a kebab van. Definitely wasn’t prepared in house and fresh. No seasoning to the patty and rubbery texture was offered something else but service was slow people in the restaurant waiting a long time for puddings even though it wasn’t busy and tbh the burger really put me off trying something else just to be disappointed again. The beer was off. Just very disappointing. Had to call in and get some dinner from the local co op on the way home. On the way out was told that the burger was new to them and the chef agreed it wasn’t very nice, well surely if it’s new they should be trying it before sending it out on the menu for service and also in an establishment like this shouldn’t they be making up their own burgers not buying pre made in?"
