"You read the reviews and think that you are going to be amazed. It is an average crepe place with crepes at the cost of a meal. I was also given the wrong change - perhaps by mistake but hard to understand why she would give me 5x2000 notes when later gave the 10,000+2,000. Anyway, it is a pass I think. But for Santa Marta standards we may call it very good."

"El Asador Espanol is a true 'find', the owners are from Barcelona, Spain and also own the la Casa del Farol Boutique Hotel in Santa Marta (www.lacasadelfarol.com) We went to El Asador on a recommendation from a local resident and could not have been more delighted! The atmosphere is great, cozy, quiet, very clean, you are sitting outside, but under a type of roof, which creates the cozy feel, combined with rocks and trees. We do not speak or read Spanish, so the waitress quickly made a cell phone call to the owner, who does speak English and was delighted to make recommendations and help with the menu selection, we ordered with her help and guidance, the lamb (I don't normally like lamb much) and the Shrimp starter along with tomato bread. It was outstanding, the lamb was especially out of this world, we were so full and then they brought us a scrumptious dessert to share and did not charge us for it. The wine selection is great and even the house wine was really, really good (the white) . The service, well what can I say, outstanding, attentive, but not hovering. Prices were very reasonable for Santa Marta and a steal compared to Canadian prices. Highly recommend El Asador Espanol ."

"Also known as di vino, this place is fantastic! her drinks are excellent, especially her lawyers. the food was delicious and the service was super friendly and efficient. place is kind of small, but it is also romantic or fun for groups. during the day it is also beautiful for families. the chef is also super friendly. this is one of the best if not the best restaurants in el rodadero, santa marta."
