"Actually, it should be a cozy and special family dinner for a round birthday... promising internet presence with a sounding concept, regional products and so on... very friendly telephone reservation, even 1 hour before again by telephone demand from the local whether we will actually come.... On arrival we were then set with 4 people to a much too big table for 7-8, which was only then covered wordless (despite reservation! , felt 10 minutes later came the menu card. Then we should decide as quickly as possible... The tealight on the table was only now lit for our request with the comment from the waiter that you would always do when the cards have disappeared from the table, as they are combustible... Maybe that should be a joke, but it was so or so completely deposed. We were hired to wait half an hour for the food.... And fortunately it tasted pretty good for everyone. Unfortunately, this obviously didn't interest anyone. At least it wasn't asked for a single time. Otherwise, you had the feeling that you wanted to get rid of the guests quickly after finishing. Ice for the children was just as possible, since the kitchen is closing now... Luckily, birthdays can also be refreshed in other restaurants...."

"Looking for beautiful photo motifs in Born, I found this restaurant in a small side street. It was a warm May day and many guests sat on the terrace so I could see the plates that all made a great impression, like the restaurant itself, because it is located in a rebuilt Dutch windmill. The menu that was hanging from the outside definitely made me decide to go for dinner. It was our insulting day in Born and the weather was no longer so good and strong, so we decided to implement my project now. With both dogs on the leash we asked carefully whether we can come in, because for the beautiful terrace it was too cold. There was even a “Hundi Table” where the 2 easily fit and we did not disturb the other guests. The service was very friendly and that didn't change, very nice and super friendly. The ambience was more rustic with stoppers and other accessories that are expected in a mill, and very cozy and warm. The menu was pretty clear in contrast to our later records. But I prefer some good food for choice as a map that offers food from all over the continent and best Asia. I chose a deer roast with Thüringer Klößen and Rotkohl for 12,90 €, my husband a steak to Strindberg type for 9,95€ (we had almost only eaten fish for 2 weeks and wanted something else now), but there were nice fish dishes on the map, e.g. Zanderfilet with potatoes for 8,90 €. So we had a wonderful end to our holiday and then we went straight to the car and drove back to the Ruhr area. “A millstone and a heart of man are always driven around, where both do not have to rub, both are torn apart” Logau 1654 I can really recommend this restaurant in the heart Opening hours: March to November Wednesday – Sunday from 11:30 to 22:00"
