"Alencon is a really lovely place that I've visited twice now in the last couple of years. After arriving on an early morning ferry in Caen and while en route down to the Charente, Alencon is a great place to stop for breakfast. We first discovered La Pause back in August 2015 after wandering the streets in search of food. We stumbled upon a market just opposite and it caught our eye. We sat outside and had our breakfast in the street it was lovely. Fast forward to September 2017 and while en route down to the Charente we decided to stop at La Pause again. It wasn't a warm morning so we headed inside to eat this time. La Pause is quite a basic cafe inside lots of grey, but it's extremely clean and tidy and there are plenty of tables and chairs. It was very quiet the day we visited, but not much was open in the town. We were greeted by the same lovely lady from 2015 (I don't know if she is the owner) and found a table. There was a little pink highchair in the corner that our daughter used. I ordered 2 croissants and my Father in Law accidentally ordered me a Minute Maid Pomme drink. The croissants were served quickly and they were huge! They were both a little bit dry, but they were still nice and just what I needed to start the day. My husband and Father in Law both ordered a Croque Monsieur and there were several other dishes on the menu too. (The menu is located on a blackboard on the wall) Overall La Pause is a great little cafe to get a Petit Dejeuner, light snack or drink. The lady serving is very friendly and polite and everywhere is very clean and tidy. Service is also very quick and once a few friendly locals came in there was a nice atmosphere. If the weather is pleasant it's lovely to sit outside with a view of the market (if it's market day) and Basilique Notre Dame d'Alencon."
The extensive diversity of coffee and tea specialties greatly enhances the value of a visit to La Pause.

"A medium-sized mall. The crossroads store is very busy and airy. The few shops in the gallery are useful but it lacks a little life. Mr. Bricolage is as good as he's a little expensive. Pressing tobacco is really good. The very large apartment of this shopping center is that once inside there is no telephone network and therefore very difficult to see impossible to pass/receive a phone call see even receive/send a message. That would have to be corrected."
A visit to Centre Commercial Carrefour Alençon becomes even more rewarding due to the comprehensive range of coffee and tea specialties.

"I came to the city visiting with friends, and I fell on Lucien coffee an excellent restaurant. I was charmed by her beautiful garden! The service is fast, good and cheap! I took a salad like Lucien (one of their flagship recipes) it's excellent not only it's good but the presentation and very beautiful! Prices are very respectable for what we eat that is of good quality! And what really pleases is the fries that are home and not frozen, I intend to come back! PS: Go and congratulate the leader on her way out!"
