"The food at Busshari was hit and miss. Standouts: miso cod - can't go wrong with this beautiful buttery fish; sashimi platter - decent variety of fish, the scampi was especially delicious; sesame tart - strong hit of sesame flavour; ice creams - matcha, sesame and houjicha were all terrific with a creamy, smooth texture and good depth of flavour. OK: miso pork ribs - tasty marinade but let down by the chewy toughness of the meat; popcorn shrimp - not what I expected but not bad; sushi & gyoza - average. Bad: karaage chicken - more like nanban with a soft, not crispy batter; miso eggplant - really greasy; coffee jelly - strange taste but could be a personal thing. Generally, sashimi and desserts are the forte here. Restaurant service was polite but rude over the phone."
The Card of Busshari from ELIZABETH BAY contains about 117 different menus and drinks. On average, you pay for a dish / drink about A$19.

"I'm a very frequent diner at this local Japanese restaurant that is not only authentic but "as good as it gets"..without breaking the bank.Varied choice menu with an inexpensive lunch menu(from just $10 ) that offers everything from Bento box lunches to home made noodle udon noodle soups. For dinner they also offer 'Okonyamaki" (japanese savoury pancakes) that are both fluffy and very tasty. The 'surf & turf ' is quite delicious..cut .wagyu steak strips + some side seafood...(quantity small but quality high)...which goes very well with a cold japanese beer on tap...as well as the very friendly service..."
If you want to spoil your palate with a bit of culinary flair, this is the place to be: The imaginative Asian fusion cuisine of the Kujin from ELIZABETH BAY - a delicious combination of proven and the unexpected, and healthy Japanese dishes are being made with lots of fresh vegetables, fish and meat. Similarly, the eatery serves a diverse diversity of flavorful tapas, which are certainly worth a taste, Furthermore, the drinks list in this restaurant is impressive and offers a good and comprehensive selection of beers from the area and from worldwide, which are definitely worth a try.

"Went there yesterday and ordered the fish of the day which was $24.00 and was the most expensive item in the menu. Accordingly I had HIGH standards as this cafe had lots of best cafe awards stuck on the door and they had quite a few customers dining. I was quite disappointed at both taste and presentation. Fish was dry and a bit chewy and tasted like it had almost no seasoning (mostly just salty). There was a line of sweet chilli dressing which really didn't work because it was very thin and too sweet so you ended with this weird sweet fish. In the menu it said caramelised onions but there were none and the veggies were just boiled...no seasoning at all. Whilst portion size was good, the potatoe mash was great, staff and service was lovely I was overall dissapointed. I hope the owners read this and make appropriate changes to their dishes as the brunch scene is very popular and competitive! I would hate to see this place go out of business. (Btw it was nice that they swapped my mash for chips)"

"Seeing reviews here saying this is the best Chinese restaurant....I finally decided to venture here and see if it  lived up to the hype of some reviews. We had a 6am booking for 2, we arrived early and were the first people. Tables were a little small, as we tend to order a lot when in an Asian restaurant, but they brought the dishes out in a good order (used to everything at once. Small but well thought out wine list. We had the Albarino which went very well with the meal. We had the scallop and prawn dumplings and the daily dumplings (chicken and corn) and the egg white omelette with blue swimmer crab (it took a little while to realise it was crab very subtle and delicate well worth trying) and the ground pepper was a well balanced seasoning. The dumplings were great flavoursome and you could taste the various main ingredients. The tofu with sugar snap, pumpkin and zucchini hit the spot it is among the best tofu I have ever had (I always order a tofu dish to see how such a simple ingredient can be presented). The Crispy beef stripes was also among some of the best I have ever had tender beef, not tough and hard and we hat the fat boy chicken (one of the specials of the day) it was in a friend spicy batter. It looked and average it was AMAZING full of flavour (often chicken has little or no flavour and relies on seasoning/sauces), it tasted like chicken, it was moist, tender, it was AMAZING. There was a typo on the menu 'spatchcock ' it is a technique (not an ingredient)that means it has had the spine removed etc it should have been referred to as 'spatchedcock. 'Remember that this area of Sydney has some of the highest per square meter population density and this restaurant caters to that market people with small kitchens who don 't want to cook and I think this works very well with the market it is targeting.Certainly among the better Chinese meal that I have had and well worth it. And I do agree with some of the other reviews that the staff are a little in your face but better than not being there at all."
When the weather conditions is pleasant you can also have something outside, and there is complimentary WLAN. The premises on site are accessible, and therefore no problem for visitors with wheelchairs or physical limitations.
