"We love Grand Haven and have stayed at different places near the waterfront. This place is pricey for what you get. We stayed in the Carriage House. Pros: The folks were friendly at Serendipity and the rooms floors) were clean. In fact the floors looked brand new. Kitchen had most needed dishes. Water pressure was great. Coffee was provided. WiFi was great. Cons: Some upkeep is needed. The corner shower had a shower curtain that would not stay in placement which provided a unique showering experience. The room did not have a hair dryer or iron and I did not think to look until getting ready in the morning. Staff was not available until 10am so I went to church a little unkept. We also had no salt and pepper. The doors and walls are thin and every bump in the hallway or door closed was heard. I am unsure if we will return."

"Really gone downhill a lot in the past 10 years. Forget the things about ice cream machines and shake machines. McDonald’s hook was for kids. Play places and happy meals.How many people remember from the 80s when you could song the whole menu for a free menu item? Aplastic record that came in the newspaper.Looks like a depressing symbol for those kids who grew up to look at and be depressed. Lack of colors looks like a 1980s corporate office.Most of the people there are good to work with, but the newer employees are newer generation they’re rude, and now that you can’t get free refills see treated me and the employee I was talking to poorly for even asking for one . Little blonde pudgy male manager in his 20s. I wanted to reach over the counter and shake him.I used to go all the time with my kids. It was a place where you could let them unwind in the wintertime and a quick place to grab an ice cream cone as a reward for doing a good job. Nowadays, we go for a quick bite, but it shouldn’t cost $65 for four people eat at a fast food restaurant.Nobody ever goes inside. No kids are ever playing, nobody smiling. They don’t even want to speak to a real person. They want you to order from the machines and then bring your ticket to the counter.And why is the original menu from 20 years ago secretly hidden don’t order a quarter pounder without using the word deluxe or you’ll get some piece of meat with bread on it and nothing else really."
